Welcoming Botanicals And Florals Into Our Homes This Spring

Next Bedding

Here at North Wales Interiors HQ, we’re pleased winter is drawing to a close.

Cold and crisp mornings are beautiful at first, but after a while, the novelty wears off.  Then the season just feels dull, stark and bare. Thankfully, light evenings and sunny days are on the horizon.  We’re enjoying the cheery daffodils, bright crocuses and vivid primulas just starting to pop up in our gardens too.

Why not celebrate the change of season by bringing florals and botanicals into your home?  Pack away your dark soft furnishings and ornaments until next autumn.  Now’s the time to shop for something a little lighter and brighter to welcome the spring and summer months.

Editor’s choice – florals:

Need a little inspiration?  Here’s our editor’s pick of the best spring/summer homewares this year:

Spring Flowers Lampshade

This charming lampshade is bursting with blooms.  It features delicate wildflowers digitally-printed onto a neutral background. Although green foliage dominates the design, you’ll spot a wide range of colours on the shade.  Everything from deep red poppies to delicate blue forget-me-nots.  It also features a luxurious gold metallic fabric lining.  This provides a warm ambience when the shade is in use.

The shade is handmade to order using 100% pure linen.  The fabric is printed digitally, using eco-friendly ink.

You’ll find it in two sizes at Mint and May: medium, £149 and large, £165.

Lilian Vase

Gather a spring posy from your garden and display it on your kitchen table in this light green stoneware vase.  The vase can be used outdoors too, making it perfect for al fresco dining.

Each vase is slightly unique thanks to the reactive glaze in the firing stage.  Find it at The National Trust (£12).

Bright Vintage Floral Duvet Set

Bring spring into the bedroom with this lovely vintage-style duvet cover and pillowcase set.

The set features a mixture of dusky pinks, corals and yellow shades.  Neon piping adds a striking, modern finish to the pillowcases.

If you’ve fallen in love with this design, you’ll be happy to learn you can get matching curtains too. (Pictured in the featured image on this page, above).

Artificial Floral in Window Box

This artificial window box is so lovely.  The yellow meadow flowers will add a bright and fresh finishing touch to any corner of a room.

We challenge you to find a cushion that represents spring better than this from George at Asda!
